Bandon and Jody visiting State College

While in old town, south of the capital, Preston discovers a dinner special at the Royal Restaurant.  All you can eat Prime Rib with salad and soup bar. Even the manager commented on how much we ate.  A food demon possessed me and made me eat 3 steaks, a baked potato, salad, 2 cups of soup, shrimp cocktail, pudding, and some fruit.  Todd and Preston 1 - Restaurant 0.

My mother and her parents leaving after a weekend visit at my place.  Hosting the family at my place is a new experience for me.   For 25 years it was me that was the guest. Starting our summer excursion at Cedar Point.   Brandon was too anxious to get on the roller coasters and hopped the fence to get inside, so he was locked up for one hour.

From atop the sky lift at Cedar Point, you can see the whole park.  In the very far distance you can see (from left to right) "The Mantis", the "Mean Streak", "Power Tower", and "Magnum." Here is a picture of the "Raptor", arguably the most exhilarating coaster at the park.  While your legs dangle freely beneath your seat, your are often being thrown into loops.

The "Power Tower", which has 2 types of rides.  The 2 columns on the left shoot you from the bottom to the 25 story top in several seconds.  The right 2 slowly bring you to the top, dropping and letting you free fall toward earth. What would a trip be to Michigan without dinning at your favorite restaurants?  To start, for breakfast we ate at Olga's, which makes unique burgers in a sour dough type of pita.  Very tasty!

This picture taken at 1:30 PM.  This is where Brandon and Todd started their corporate careers.  Started at the bottom as cart boys, we were able to make it to senior cart boy status. This picture taken at 4:30 PM at the Somerset Mall was only 20 miles away from previous picture.  Something you do not see in the north east are the mid-west's freak thunder storms that come out of nowhere.

One of Brandon's favorite Detroit dishes, "Almond Boneless chicken", is served to us for dinner, which makes it 3 dinners in one day! At the "Honey Tree" restaurant near Tally Hall in Farmington Michigan.  You can find the very best Greek food in the Detroit area.

Last but certainly not least is a lunch at the Farmington Coney place!  The best Coney dogs on earth are here (this is fact, not opinion).  Also found here are awesome Greek salads. 3 days and 10 pounds later, we are moving down the highway at 75 mph, headed home from a rather brief vacation.
