KOEI - E3 2002

Koei's booth was a small booth in the same hall as Sega, Nintendo and Sony.  If you blinked at the wrong time you could miss it.  There were not many people at their booth either, which made it easy to go over and play whatever you wanted.  Luckily I played Dynasty Warriors 3, because I had not played any of the previous games and it turns out it is actually quite fun!

Sorry, your browser doesn't support Java(tm). Dynasty Warriors 3 -Being developed for the PS2 is this strategy saturated game taking place in ancient China.  The first mission only had 3 units to control, each unit representing a legion of troops.  Despite only having 3 units, there were lots of options and methods to employ.  The game is a turn-based strategy game, giving you time to think about your next move.  There is no "attack" move like a lot of turn based strategy games... there are several types of attacks, some moving your troops in a spearhead type of maneuver, others may scare the enemy away from its current position, etc.  The one thing you want to do is protect your back, that's how you can lose a lot of troops.  It is an engaging thinkers kind of game that will appeal to more seasoned gamers.
